New Delhi: Aftab Amin Poonawala will be taken to various locations in south Delhi on Saturday as the Delhi Police tries to find more parts of his body after he killed his live-in partner Shraddha Waqar, officials said.

According to the police, Poonawalla strangled Walker (27) to death on May 18 and cut her body into 35 pieces which he kept in a 300-litre fridge at his residence in south Delhi’s Mehrauli for nearly three weeks last night. According to police sources, the saw was allegedly bought from a shop on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road.

Police have so far recovered 13 body parts, mostly bones.

A source said that the police on Friday recovered parts of the body from Gurugram which will be sent for forensic examination. The victim’s head is still missing.

Police also said that they have recovered a sharp object from Poonawala’s house. It will be investigated whether it was used to cut Walker’s body.

Blood samples of the deceased’s father and brother have been collected to match their DNA with the skeletal remains recovered so far, police said on Friday.

In a statement, the police also said that in view of the “deceptive nature” of the responses given by the accused, an application was made for his narco-analysis test and it was approved by the court.

A Delhi court has directed the police to complete the narco-analysis test of Aftab Amin Poonawala within five days.

“To confirm that the bones belong to the victim, blood samples from ‘A’ (Walker)’s father and brother have been collected for DNA analysis. The data has also been sent for forensic recovery, to find out whether the digital devices seized from the crime scene contain any incriminating evidence,” the statement said.
