A MAN has admitted making indecent images of a child and possessing extreme pornographic images.
Michael Lee, 26, pleaded guilty at Workington Magistrates’ Court:
- Making indecent images of a child in category 12 (the most serious category of violent images)
- Making seven category B indecent images of a child
- Making indecent images of children in 22 categories
- 317 has extreme pornographic images depicting a man having sex with a dog
- Possessing a prohibited photograph of a child
Pamela Fee, prosecuting, told the court police searched Lee’s home address and found an iPhone and tablet in his room.
Both devices contained child sexual abuse images.
The offenses took place in Workington between 2015 and 2021.
John Cooper, defending, said: “They found the inaccessible images. They were not saved for access. They were viewed on a web browser.
“They’ve been there for a long time. It’s a small number of images over a long period of time.”
Ms Fee said the case was not suitable for sentencing at the magistrates’ court.
Lee, of Westminster Street, Gateshead, will be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on January 3.
