Instagram, a photo sharing platform Meta, recently launched its synthetic polls feature. Users can vote via direct messages on iOS and Android devices. Essentially, the feature is similar to adding a voting sticker to a message. Interestingly, poll results are visible to everyone in group chats because they are posted in real time.
Here’s a quick guide on how to create and share polls in Instagram DMs.
STEP1. Open the Instagram app on the smartphone.
STEP2. Go to the DM section and open the group to create a poll.
STEP 3. Click on the Stickers option.
FALL 4. Choose the Vote option.
FALL 5. Enter the question and the required options.
STEP6. Click the Create poll button.
If Instagram users share a video or photo in a direct message, they can also add a custom poll to it. Here’s how to do it:
STEP1. Open the Instagram app on the smartphone.
STEP2. Visit the DM section and open the chat (personal or group chat) you want to create a poll.
STEP 3. Open the camera and create a video or take a picture.
FALL 4. Click the Add button and select the Poll option.
FALL 5. Enter the question and options, and click the Done button. In addition, you can move or change the voting contact.
STEP6. Click the Submit button.
It is important that recipients cannot vote by clicking on the voting sticker added to the photos and videos shared in the right post. They will need to choose an option to respond to him in the dialog box under the image or video.
