By size, the share of shipments of 10.x-inch and larger tablets increased from 80.6% in the second quarter to 84.4% in the third quarter. The 10.x-inch sector alone accounted for 57.7% of all volumes in the quarter.
As newly released tablets and models still under development are mainly equipped with 10.95-inch or 11.x-inch displays, the shipment share of 10.x-inch and above tablets is expected to exceed 90% in the near term. in the future, pushing large-sized displays to be the main specification of future tablets.
Due to increased iPad shipments, Taiwanese ODM shipments accounted for 38.9% of global volume in the third quarter and will continue to grow in the fourth quarter.
