Tennessee senior quarterback Jeremy Banks is out for Saturday night’s game against South Carolina in Columbia.
After the loss to the Gamecocks, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said Banks was “unavailable” for this game and was “expected and expected” for next week.
Since Banks’ absence on Saturday night, there has been a lot of speculation online as to why he missed the game.
However, on Sunday evening, Banks took to social media to share her side of the story on her own Instagram page.
“It’s not about the lack of controversy [nothing] like this,” Banks said in her Instagram story. “Get the facts bro, come back stronger than ever!”

“I mean, we’re going to go back and look at the player’s play, but the attitude, the formation, the defense, we didn’t play well tonight,” Heupel said of the game for the position of the line.
Before Saturday’s game at South Carolina, Banks had played in all 10 of Tennessee’s games this season. The fifth-year senior from Tennessee has been a starter in every game except for Akron, Florida and Georgia. Juwan Mitchell and Aaron Beasley are the starting linebackers for each game.
Jeremy Banks had a total of 46 tackles on the year, 29 of which came as solo tackles.
Tennessee defeated South Carolina by a score of 63-38 on Saturday night in Columbia.
