Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, has shared an Instagram post urging the Manchester United forward to tell manager Erik ten Hag to quit.
Ronaldo, 37, is currently at loggerheads with Ten Hag following comments made in an interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan.
The Manchester United striker said he didn’t respect the Dutch coach because he didn’t respect him.
He said:
“I don’t respect him because he doesn’t respect me.
Ten Hag have given Cristiano Ronaldo just four starts in the Premier League this season.
The Portuguese has scored just three goals in 16 matches across all competitions.
His mother Dolores appeared to respond to her interview with Morgan by sharing what Portuguese journalist and writer Luis Osorio had to say about the matter, per the Manchester Evening News.
The reporter said Ronaldo had to tell the United boss to “f*** off”.
Osorio adds:
“As the Dutchman who has managed you these past months, I want to laugh. As Alberto Joao Jardim says, tell him to ‘f*** off ‘. I know you have but it’s worth repeating.”
Ronaldo’s sister Katia also shared the post, saying:
“Please read and share.”
Cristiano Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United from Juventus in 2021.
He scored 24 goals in 38 appearances in his first season back at Old Trafford.
However, his second season with the Red Devils has been marred by rumors of trouble in the player’s camp.
His contract with United expires next summer and the club are still focusing on their interview with Morgan.
Sky Sports reports that the club are trying to get rid of him quickly and cleanly without giving him a salary.
His contract is voided, but if he refuses, the forwarder can be sued for breach of contract.
