Gurugram: A dead body of a woman was found near a park FaridabadBallabhgarh area on Tuesday evening. Police suspect murder and have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for help identifying the 30-year-old woman.
A passerby alerted the police about the body at 7pm. Police said the body bore signs of brutality and the post-mortem report also confirmed death by strangulation.
“The post-mortem confirmed death by strangulation indicating homicide. However, the autopsy has denied the rape. However, swab samples and viscera have been sent for further investigation,” said Faridabad Police spokesperson Subey Singh.
The only identifiers on the woman’s body were her two tattoos – an ‘RM’ ink on her right hand and an ‘OM’ ink on both her hands.
Another police official said that the woman had head and initial injuries, “the body appears to be at least a day old – indicating that she was killed a day ago and dumped the next day”.
“An FIR will be registered soon. Teams have been formed to identify the woman and CCTV footage has been scanned to trace the accused,” he said.
