Yes, this is very different.
Conor McGregor has been in the news lately for starring in the (unfair) remake of Road House, the Patrick Swayze classic, and because he dropped out of the USADA testing pool for the cause unknown.
Other than that, McGregor hasn’t been heard from lately, outside of tweeting and canceling events, such as following UFC 280.
However, on Monday, “The Notorious” former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion posted what can only be seen as a strange video on social media, using the monkey face filter.
“I told you I’d be back,” McGregor said, taking a deep breath, before adding “wakey wakey.”
Is this a warning for the lightweight (or welterweight) division, and does McGregor intend to announce his return to fighting? Is he returning to the movie screens? Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be released in 2024 and is currently in production. McGregor is a badass with that monkey voice and voice.
Although, the former champion has not been seen playing since breaking his leg in his third fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. He has also been seen in the gym, but not yet let the comeback table be announced for MMA’s biggest star.
