Gurugram:
A Class 10 student was allegedly raped by five men, including her friend, after they took her to a hotel in Gurugram, police said on Monday.
Two of the five accused in the Saturday night incident were arrested on Monday, a police official said.
According to the complaint filed by the mother of the 14-year-old victim, her daughter left the house around 12.30 pm on Saturday. She thought her daughter might have gone for a walk in the nearby park.
“When she did not return for a long time, we started looking for her but could not find her. My daughter was found near the house around 10 am on Sunday,” the victim’s mother said in the police complaint.
When asked where she was overnight, she told her mother that she was taken by two friends on a bike to a hotel where two youths and three others raped her, police said, adding that the accused also threatened to kill her. He told someone about this.
Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered under IPC Sections 376-D (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
When the girl was taken to the civil hospital for medical examination, doctors confirmed the rape, police said.
DCP West Deepak Saharan said two accused were arrested on Monday evening and are being interrogated while efforts are on to nab the other accused.
