TVS recently updated the Apache RTR 160 4V to give the Bajaj Pulsar N160, Suzuki Gixxer and Hero Xtreme 160R a run for their money. While the changes don’t make the bike completely new, they certainly add more value to the package.
A new color
A noticeable change in the 2023 Apache RTR 160 4V is the new paint scheme. Called ‘Pearl White’ the new color is a combination of matte white and bright red that can be seen on the wheels, in the form of a line on the fuel tank and the two-tone seat.
Integrated exhaust
In addition to the new color scheme, the new Apache RTR 160 4V also sports a redesigned exhaust. While it offers the same double-barrel look as before, the new unit is beautiful. Furthermore, it is also claimed to be 1kg lighter than the previous unit and to have a tweaked exhaust note.
Organized tools
Adding extra value to the whole package are adjustable clutch and brake levers. These were previously available in a separate limited edition RP only and are a first in the segment.
Prices
The 2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh, the same as the special edition launched last year in Matte Black. That said, the latter gets the same upgrades as the new model.
What stays the same?
The motorcycle continues to be powered by the same 159cc, single cylinder engine that churns out 17.4bhp and 14.7Nm. It will be mated to a five-speed gearbox. Moreover, its list of features remains the same. There are full LED headlamps with LED DRLs, three modes of riding and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. Apart from that, the suspension and braking hardware remains the same as before.
