It’s a good time to buy a TV that doubles as an art installation. Amazon is selling Samsung’s 2022 Model TVs at the best prices so far this Black Friday. All models are on sale, but the flagship is the 55-inch model for $998 (regularly $1,498) and the 65-inch variant for $1,533 (regularly $1,998). Samsung compares these prices if you would like to buy directly. You’ll have to pay more if you want a fancier bezel, but the savings can easily justify it.

Samsung 55-Inch 2022 Frame TV

The 2022 version of the Framework is, in some ways, the set you expected when Samsung introduced the range. Thanks to the matte finish of the screen, the state-of-the-art art mode is more pleasing than previous models – it almost looks like a canvas painting that just happens to be a TV. This is also a complete device with 4K, HDR and creature comforts such as voice assistant support (both Alexa and Google Assistant) and game mode. You won’t have to sacrifice much to have a conversation in your living room.

There are a few considerations. You won’t get Samsung’s best picture, so you might want to look at higher-end standard TVs like the mini LED-based QN85B if you don’t need a picture. Also, you’ll need to pay for either an Art Store subscription or individual works if you want works of art from the likes of Da Vinci, Van Gogh and Vermeer. The frame is a solid value at these prices, however, and makes a lot of sense if you’re already planning on mounting your screen to the wall.
